Ember sniffed the air. "I...I can to." She took a step back.

"I...I don't know. What if we meet a patrol?" Ember shook in the chilly, midnight air. "That could be a fatal encounter."

"Maybe we should sneak in and find out what the clan is like. Then we can decide whether we want to stay." Ember shook again. "Plus, forests have more heat than meadows."

Ember nodded slightly and began to walk towards the forest. "sounds like a deal."

Ember fell on her back from the sudden scare. "What do you mean, other cats?" she asked, getting to her paws.

"oh..." Ember muttered, looking at her paws. "Sorry we were on your territory. What are your names?"

"It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Ember, and my friend here is Ruby."

thats sad I'm so sorrryyyyy) Ember looked in wonder as the two cats went to the tree. "What do you think they're doing?" She whispered to Ruby. -
"Am I!" Ember blurted out suddenly. She was very embarrassed, as she was usually a very composed cat. "I mean...yes, we are. We have had a long trip with nothing to eat."

"I'm jealous. I don't remember the last time I had a full meal." Taking a bird from the choices available. She savored the flavor, and gulped it down in a few bites.

Ember had only a few seconds to react. "Wait!" she said, taking a big leap forward.

"Do you think...maybe...we can...JOIN your clan? We are kind of alone...and lost."

Ember looked at Ruby with a gleam in her eyes. "What are we waiting for? We have a clan to join!" Ember raced after the two Dark-clan cats with a new skip in her step. It had been a long time since she was this excited.

Ember gulped. It had seemed like a good idea before, but now that she was in front of the leader, she was more nervous than a mouse in the middle of a hungry camp. "H...Hello..." she stammered while crouching.
